A fabulous first-timers’ choice, Island Cruises is all about fun and relaxation sailing in the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean for the first time next winter.

Cruise holidays are now so competitively priced that they are often cheaper than equivalent land-based holidays and include so much more.

Island Cruises offers great value for money on its two ships, Island Escape and Island Star.

On board activities and entertainment options including West End shows and comedy acts as well as access to the casino; clubs for children aged three through to teenagers and fitness and beauty facilities including a gym and swimming pools as well as selected aerobic and fitness classes.

In addition to all this there are a range of different itineraries to choose from, all of which give passengers the opportunity to experience a number of fantastic summer Mediterranean destinations in a week, probably more than would be possible in five years.

New to the line for 2008 is the introduction of a Jongleurs comedy club on board the flagship vessel Island Star.

Additionally, Island Cruises is to make its winter debut in the Caribbean with three fly-cruise itineraries from Barbados. Flights to connect to the cruises are available from Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin.

The Island Star will sail from Barbados between December 4, 2008 and March 26, 2009 on 14-night itineraries.

Twenty ports of call will be featured across the different sailings, including Grand Cayman, Panama Canal, Jamaica, Cartagena (Columbia), Aruba and Grenada.

The new programme opens up a whole new region for the company, providing port intensive cruising for first-timers to the Caribbean, a bit of Latin America on a Panama Canal adventure for the more experienced and an unusually expansive itinerary that takes in diverse ports from the east and west of the Caribbean Sea.
